Three members of the Putman family, featured on the TLC reality show "Meet the Putmans," were killed in a car crash in Michigan on Friday night, with five others being injured. The Tuscola County Sheriff's Office stated the collision occurred in Ellington Township when a semi-truck failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the Jeep carrying eight members of the family. The deceased were identified as family patriarch and matriarch Bill “Papa” Putman and Barb “Neenee” Putman, along with their daughter-in-law, Megan Putman.

The driver of the semi-truck, a 55-year-old from Florida, was arrested with charges pending. The Putman family gained notice in 2017 on their TLC show, which documented 25 family members from three generations living in the same house. The family announced the deaths on social media, asking for prayers for those still in the hospital.
